Line Blom & Ole Morten: Ceramics

Ceramicist Ole Morten Rokvam based in Norway & fellow Line Blom Salvesen

Ole is a ceramicist from the small town of Risør. His work is primarily high fired in a self-built wood kiln, during his career he has built over 60 of them. Best known for his sculptural teapots, he works with terra cotta, stoneware and porcelain. Ole is very conscious on the impact production has on the planet and as such has explored a new way of wood firing.

Line is an aspiring ceramicist from Oslo. She fell in love with the craft when she tried wheel throwing during her exchange studies in South Korea. This experience inspired her to change her career path from industrial design to ceramics. She recently finished her craft studies which included a two-year apprenticeship at a pottery studio.
